Urgent Ports of Seattle Shutdown

 

Hard Deck Logistics notes that the Ports of Seattle are currently shut down per the bulletin below (announcement from the “PMA” Pacific Maritime Association which is the association that represents ports and the shipowners) as the ILWU union (dockworker labor) has not been dispatched to the ports of Seattle. 

 

This continues to demonstrate that west coast dockworker reliability is quite volatile until the dockworkers (represented by the ILWU) and employers (represented by the PMA) come to a labor agreement. Hard Deck Logistics continues to follow.
