It can be difficult for an entire segment of the industry to step into the future while the world is under crisis.
How do you anticipate the coronavirus pandemic will impact transloading?
I think it will affect product mix. Chemicals going into cleaning products, sanitizers, etc… will be looking for additional supply chain options if increased demand surpasses currently functioning raw material supply chains. We already saw this happen for hand sanitizer.
Conversely, we may see the exact opposite where potentially fewer people are traveling as much leading to less production of ‘x’ products which could inversely affect the plastics industry, refined products supply chain, etc.
