What is your company's mission and vision, and how does this benefit your customers?

The mission at ER&R is to provide unparalleled customer service and always look for ways to continue to innovate in the rail industry. ER&R has grown from a railcar cleaning facility to a player in the transload industry. ER&R was able to see, and adapt, to the changing needs of not only the customer but the rail industry and quickly developed two transloading operations.

What are the key milestones in your company's history that demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness?

ER&R began operations 25 years ago primarily as a railcar cleaning facility. Through the years, ER&R has added additional cleaning bays and has become a Kosher Certified cleaning facility (both Kosher Maintenance and Kosher Upgrade). This has allowed increased throughput of railcars and allowed ER&R to meet increased demand from customers. We have become the "go-to" business for railcar cleaning needs. Seeing the trends in the industry, ER&R quickly added a contract railcar repair facility located on the property to meet increasing demands. After the addition of the repair facility, ER&R was approached with a desire to add two transloading operations. We were able to address these needs and have successfully added both propane and beet juice transloading operations on our property. With our available 26,000 warehouse and additional shovel-ready land, ER&R is poised, and ready, to add additional transloading operations to continue to be a reliable source for businesses and customers alike.

What products or services do you offer, and what makes them unique and valuable to your customers?

ER&R's main offering is available shovel-ready land and an available 26,000-square-foot warehouse. With access not only to both the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, Interstate 57, and the Canadian National Rail, ER&R (being located in Southern Illinois) offers extremely close proximity access to Missouri and Kentucky which immediately opens access for a transloading operation to have an immediate impact. These offerings have allowed ER&R to offer valuable assets for a business to develop a transloading operation.

Who are your target customers, and how do you address their specific needs and preferences?

ER&R is strategically located in the heart of AG Country in Southern Illinois, adjacent to the Canadian National Rail, less than three miles to Interstate 57, and four miles to the Ohio River by both rail and road. ER&R is positioned to attract virtually any customer (or business) and accommodate any need through the shovel-ready land and move-in ready 26,000 warehouse (all rail served) onsite. Our core business began as railcar cleaning but ER&R has expanded into transloading of propane and beet juice.

What core values and cultural aspects of your company enhance the customer experience?

The main core values at ER&R are customer service and innovation. Being a family-owned business, we are able to quickly make decisions and eliminate the layers to reach someone directly. ER&R constantly researches trends in the rail industry and listens to the needs of customers. Through these processes, ER&R has been able to incorporate new techniques in the railcar cleaning process and also has been able to accommodate business demands with the incorporation of transloading onsite. The goal at ER&R is to be available, at all times, to address the needs of our customers.
