At Transmark, we keep an open line of communication 24/7. The railroads are always on the move and we have to be prepared to accommodate them no matter the time or the day.

Constant communication with local operations is vital to track larger shipments and to ensure there is sufficient room for the incoming trains. Every day, we email our outbound freight waiting to be picked up. Within that email, there are a dozen Class I recipients to make sure nothing falls through.

It's also good to regularly speak to the local rep to see what’s on their plate and what’s on ours. Regular communication often brings about more business.
