I characterize “the new supply chain” by removing barriers through innovation and customer experience. Transportation companies who find better ways to navigate trade barriers and logistics hurdles through technology will appeal more to the next generation of supply chain managers.
Railroads can better serve this by investing in technology that enables customers to have a more transparent and efficient experience. Commtrex is a good tool moving in this direction.
