In the Infrastructure Bill recently passed by the Senate, how much was allocated for rail projects? (Jim Blaze)

Among the usually funded subjects are of course Highways. But there is diversity. Would we in the past have seen this kind of division of federal funding among so many federal initiatives beyond roads?

The bill would spend $110 billion in NEW funds for roads, bridges, and related projects.

$39 billion for public transit — + $66 billion for rail. Short Haul intermodal? Not sure. Are we?

Note —  less for maritime... @ only $42 billion on ports, airports, and related projects.

Rail and Internet are about equal in new funding. High-speed internet gets $65 billion with a goal of providing broadband internet to all Americans.

Electric vehicles get a relatively small amount at about $7.5 billion for investing in a national network of electric vehicle chargers. Another $7.5 billion toward electrifying buses and ferries. PLUS $28 billion for power grid infrastructure, resiliency, and reliability. PLUS $46 billion to, in part, mitigate damage from floods, wildfires, and droughts.

Water Supply: $55 billion on clean water infrastructure, particularly to eliminate lead pipes and other dangerous chemicals in today’s service lines.
